MAS DE MASOS is a great aged red wine from Finca Mas de Masos, made from Garnatxa Peluda, Garnatxa del País, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carinyena. Long maceration and aging of the wine in new French oak barrels for 12 months.
MAS DE MASOS wine undergoes fermentation in small new French oak barrels and follows an aging process in them. Finally the wine is bottled and left to rest in the cellar at a constant temperature for aging. The grapes to make MAS DE MASOS come from around six thousand very old vines planted in 1952 and with a productivity of 300 to 700 grams per vine depending on the year.
MAS DE MASOS is a very structured and complex wine in all its organoleptic aspects. It is a product for lovers of great wines.
TASTING: cherry color. The aromas of spices (clove and vanilla) and balsamic (mint) stand out; they are combined with others such as cocoa. In the mouth it is very elegant and seductive, with a lively and unctuous entry. The tannin is round and the finish is very long and balanced.
CATERING: Its pleasant tannins are ideal for the best game preparations, incredible with any good red meat preparation and excellent with sheep cheeses.
OBSERVATIONS: it is a wine that needs prior decantation to oxygenate the wine before consumption. It has been considered one of the best estate wines that we can find in the Priorat by many of the professional sommeliers who have passed by and been able to enjoy it.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 17-18ºC.
